March’s very special  member of the month is the one and only Robert G Green or as he go’s by here at the gym…Jerry.  Jerry was born and raised in Parsippany, New Jersey. He attended Parsippany high school where he excelled as an athlete as a fullback on the Parsippany Redskin football team. Jerry one was of seven siblings with 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
After high school Jerry joined the Marine Corp and proudly served his country serving two tours in Vietnam, including time spent  in Da Nang and on Monkey Mountain.  He was a member of the Marine Corp  Rifle team.  After his time in Vietnam, Jerry returned to the states , got married, had three wonderful sons and moved to a little farm in Troy, Pennsylvania, where he had a machine shop and raised veal.  Jerry spent the next 40 years as a tool and die maker including an 11 year stint having his own business.
Today, Jerry finds himself in New Orleans during the winter months escaping the cold visiting his son Eric , his daughter in law Barbara and his grand daughters Sterling and Ashley. Jerry also has  two sons up north , Robert and David and two grand children Shannon and Alex.
One of Jerry’s great passions is hunting. He has two hunting lodges, one in Pennsylvania and one in Mississippi. What makes Jerry’s hunting even more interesting is that uses a bow and arrow , a longbow to be exact or a flintlock. Another passion is his health and fitness. Jerry says he’s been working out on and off his whole life. He loves the environment here at the Parks and wanted to thank everyone for being so friendly, especially Richard and Dwight .  I wanted to add, not only does Jerry exercise,  he has given up drinking, tobacco, sugar and salt.  We at The Parks want to thank Jerry and his family for being members of the club, and  of  course thank Jerry for his service to our country. !  Keep up the great work and continued success in your health and fitness.
Oh, and by the way ladies. Jerry is available !
